Los Angeles Clippers 73 Final
Recap | Box Score
98 Toronto Raptors
Amir Johnson, PF 37 MIN | 7-9 FG | 5-8 FT | 16 REB | 3 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK | 2 TO | 19 PTS | +27

I will miss ED. But, was never sure why he was nicknamed "Boss" and not Amir. Statement game. Not to the league but to his team, specifically Bargs. "Sorry Primo, but the rest of us are serious now. The bench is over there." Flu like symptoms? Someone please ensure Amir never gets into a Shoppers Drug Mart ever again because any medication will send him back to Barg's backup. Also, just want to say he makes the best Zombie ever. Walking Dead MUST cast him next season for a awesome kill by Rick.

Landry Fields, SF 15 MIN | 3-4 FG | 1-2 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 2 BLK | 0 TO | 8 PTS | +5

Wasn't going to slink away to the sideline with the Rudy trade. Played inspired. Played the way we have come to expect him to play post surgery and the way we wanted him to play when BC signed him this off season. We need that girlfriend of his to dump his ass to take his game to the next level. Chip on your shoulder type of shit. But with Rudy here she can now stay with him and he can provide that kind of jack-off-all-trades, blue collar, renaissance man kinda work and the rest of us can all still ogle her.

Aaron Gray, C 25 MIN | 3-6 FG | 1-2 FT | 12 REB | 4 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 7 PTS | +10

Can't expect anymore than that from Gray. Shit. Made Jordan and Griffin look like punk ass bitches out there. PLEASE keep some semblance of this play up for the remainder of the season. Was playing to give Jonas something to strive towards I hope. Imagine Jonas had the stat line Gray had tonight? We'd all be treating ourselves like an amusement park right about now.

Kyle Lowry, PG 32 MIN | 1-6 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 8 AST | 2 STL | 1 BLK | 0 TO | 3 PTS | +28

Actually showed some trust for the first time as a Raptor. Made the extra pass. Played hard D and went after every ball. Having Rudy should calm his urge to take over games late and play team ball. Still played a little hesitant for him. But his quarterbacking could amount to the best backcourt in the east for the next few years. I hope he learned a few things from Jose during their time together in terms of leadership and being the floor general. But tonight played the way I hoped he would all season.

DeMar DeRozan, SG 34 MIN | 8-17 FG | 1-1 FT | 2 REB | 7 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK | 2 TO | 19 PTS | +31

Different player tonight Marking his territory to some extent. But shit do they ( him and Rudy) look good together out there. Great all around game. Looked like a leader. Consistency will be something to watch. But with the old guard gone it really looked like Demar was somewhat taking the reins and leading tonight. Very impressed by him tonight.

Rudy Gay, SF 33 MIN | 8-16 FG | 1-2 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK | 2 TO | 20 PTS | +20

Exceeded my expectations for his first game here. Crowd reaction reminiscent to ( I really am hesitant to say this but) Vince Carter days. Just has the intangible all-star presence (never been an all star, yet) that Vince had. My only worry is that he starts listening to the plays because if that was him being "free" as he was told to do by Casey as he said during the post game then they need to let him be free from here on out. We were winning this game whether or not Chris Paul was there or not and for at least tonight, it was thanks to Rudy Gay.

Quincy Acy, SF 2 MIN | 0-1 FG | 1-2 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 1 PTS | -2

Sweet beard. Hence the B+

Jonas Valanciunas, C 13 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 0 PTS | +14

"Holy fuck, why am I not the only thing Matt, Jack, and Leo talk about anymore?" " Rudy is the first teammate I actually recognize before I came here."

John Lucas, PG 19 MIN | 6-9 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 17 PTS | +3

Title change changed his game. " I am number #2 now muthafuckas so ima-let-it-rain." Reminiscent of the post Rose injury Lucas we'd all hoped we'd signed back in the off season.

Alan Anderson, SG 13 MIN | 0-4 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 3 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 0 PTS | -5

Jack summed it best when he said something along the lines of "his teammates will dog him on some of these bone-head plays." Ok. Was really paraphrasing but it looked like he feels that Rudy took his rightful place as the guy who deserves the most shots in the game. Sorry AA. But sweet play making late in the game bumped you to a C - It was a reality check night for Alan.

Terrence Ross, SG 15 MIN | 2-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 4 PTS | -6

C'mon kid. Gays arrival should signal to you that you PT is getting reduced. Show everyone why trading for Gay was not the right way to go.

Linas Kleiza, SF DNP SORE RIGHT KNEE MIN | FG | FT | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO | PTS |

Dnp. Didn't play but neither did Bargs and his picture isn't here. Ouch. Dressed better then Bargs so he gets the edge.

Mickael Pietrus, SF DNP COACH'S DECISION MIN | FG | FT | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO | PTS |

Dnp. Dressed to play but didn't. F- isn't an option

Dwane Casey

Not sure how much he had to do with the outcome. Minutes distributed properly. Gets the minus for not having an amazing post game rant. Which is what I now expect from him regardless of the officiating.
